AT&T customers on eligible plans can now link their phone number to their Alexa-enabled devices and use them like a phone. Amazon Echo devices and more can now make and receive hands-free calls with a linked AT&T phone plan.

This new launch is in addition to the existing calling feature on Amazon devices that allows you to call mobile phones for free from your Alexa device. With this new AT&T deal, customers can link their phone number to call just as they would using their phone.

To get started:

  1. Open the Alexa App.
  2. From the More menu, select Settings.
  3. Select Communication, then select AT&T.
  4. Follow the steps on the screen to link your AT&T mobile number with Alexa.
