Ahead of AT&T’s Investor Day event in March, HBO Max announced that it would launch an ad-supported tier in June. Now, CNBC reports that the new tier of the streaming service will cost $9.99/month.

Currently, HBO Max only has an ad-free subscription option for $14.99/month. The ad supported tier will not include same day movie premieres, which will only be available with the $14.99 tier of the streaming service. WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar noted that WarnerMedia had already secured $80 million in upfront commitments from marketers at the time of his presentation during the Investor Day event.

During AT&T’s Q1 earnings call last week, CEO John Stankey reported that HBO Max now has 44.2 million subscribers after having added 2.7 million subscribers for the quarter.

“We continued to excel in growing customer relationships in our market focus areas of mobility, fiber and HBO Max,” Stankey wrote in the quarterly earnings report. “HBO Max continued to deliver strong subscriber and revenue growth in advance of our international and AVOD launches planned for June.”
