HBO Max, Netflix, and More Win Big at the 2022 SAG Awards

Sunday’s SAG Awards ceremony saw plenty of wins handed out to streaming Originals, something that has become the norm with Hollywood Award Shows. HBO & HBO Max won big receiving 3 SAG Awards for Succession, Hacks, and Mare of Easttown, placing them in a tie for the most television wins of any network or streaming platform.

Succession and Apple TV+‘s Ted Lasso each received five nominations, while Netflix’s Squid Game became the first non-English show to be recognized by the Screen Actors Guild with its nominations.

Netflix saw a number of other nominations, including for The Power of The Dog, Tick, Tick … Boom!, Don’t Look Up, and The Kominsky Method with other streamers like Prime Video and Hulu making the list with Being the Ricardos, The Handmaid’s Tale, and more.
