fire tv stickThe Fire TV library of apps has been quickly growing to offer a range of apps giving users access to a ton of 100 percent free content; however, many of the apps are not video apps, so it can be challenging to find good cord cutting apps.

So here are the top 10 free video Fire TV apps as of August 15th 2019. (Note: These are streaming apps only. No games, weather apps, etc included.)

#1 YouTube:
#2 Pluto TV:
#3 Tubi:
#4 NBC:
#5 FOX Sports:
#6 Twitch:
#8 The CW:
#9 Facebook:
#10 CBS:

A few honorable mentions are ABC News, NBC News, and Fox News.

Biggest Trends:

Recently the official YouTube app returned to the Fire TV and this has made it the most popular app on the Fire TV. With this move, all 3rd party YouTube apps have now dropped out of the top 10 Fire TV apps.

It is also interesting to see that all news apps have now dropped out of the top 10. Recently news apps dominated the top 10 most popular apps on the Fire TV. Now, none can be found in the top 10 as it looks like Americans are looking for something other than news to watch.

What do you think of this list? What Fire TV apps do you think should be included as a top 10 must-have Fire TV app from the official Fire TV store?
