How to Watch BBC Content On Roku, Fire TV, & Apple TV After it Leaves Netflix

According to the CEO of Discovery, all BBC content will be leaving Netflix. The date isn’t set, but we’re guessing it’ll happen before the launch of Discovery’s new streaming service in 2020.

If you want to keep watching your favorite BBC content, these are a few of the places you’ll be able to find it.

BritBox

BritBox is the biggest streaming collection of British TV. Made up of BBC and ITV content, the BritBox library includes classic series (including classic Dr. Who epsiodes) and new epsiodes of your current favorites. Acorn TV

Acorn TV is the other major streaming service that offers the best of British TV to an audience outside of the UK. You’ll also find programming from Ireland, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Acorn TV has deals with some of the major media companies from those countries, including BBC.

Amazon Prime Video

With a huge library of content and a wide variety of channels, it’s not surprising that you can find BBC series on Amazon Prime Video. In addition to the content available with your Prime subscription, you can also subscribe to BritBox and Acorn TV through Prime Video Channels.

hoopla

Recently, hoopla digital announced that they would be making BBC content available for free. 45 titles are already available. hoopla is a free serice for streaming audiobooks, music, video, and e-books through partnerships with local libraries. BBC America

BBC America combines American scripted series and British entertainment. On the BBC America channel, you’ll find British TV along with original content, including Orphan Black, Killing Eve, Luther, and Top Gear.
