Week 9 of the NFL season kicks off with a stellar lineup of games. Four teams have bye weeks: Detroit Lions, Seattle Seahawks, Tampa Bay Buccaneers,  and Washington Football Team. This week, there are 3 primetime broadcasts for fans to watch the NFL’s premier games.

The ninth week of the season kickoffs with an AFC matchup on Thursday Night Football. The 2-5 Jets will travel to the midwest to take on the 3-5 Indianapolis Colts. The Jets are coming off a big upset against the Bengals in Week 8. They are without rookie QB Zach Wilson again this week and will have to rely on another big game from QB Mike White. In his first start, White became the second QB since 1950 to throw for over 400 yards and the first to do so with 3 TDs, according to ESPN Stats & Info. If White can provide the Jets with more heroics, the Green Team could upset the Colts.

Two heavyweights will faceoff in a possible Super Bowl matchup on Sunday Night Football. The 6-2 Titans travel out to the West Coast to take on the 7-1 LA Rams. The Rams are 3-1 at home this season and the Titans are 3-1 on the road, which means this is a “Something’s Got to Give” game. The Titans are playing their first game without NFL-leading rusher Derrick Henry. Henry was having a career year before his injury and now, the Titans will have to rely on QB Ryan Tannehill and WRs Julio Jones and A.J. Brown on Sunday night. This will not be an easy task, as the Rams defense features CB Jalen Ramsey, DT Aaron Donald, and the newly acquired future Hall of Famer OLB Von Miller.

Week 9 will conclude with a matchup between two struggling teams. The 3-5 Bears travel to Heinz Field to take on the 4-3 Steelers on Monday Night Football. Both teams are trying to save their seasons as the league reaches the halfway point. The Bears are on a 3-game losing streak and have been outscored 95 to 39 over that span. The Steelers have won their last 3 contests by an average amount of 5.3 points but they need to get more out of QB Ben Roethlisberger if they want to continue their streak.
