Both teams are looking for a win to move up in the standings in their respective conferences. Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau will be looking to get a home win over his previous employer when these two teams square off.

Steph Curry and the 31-12 Warriors look to pick up their third win in their last 5 games when they host the 10-32 Pistons in the late game. The Pistons are 3-18 on the road and the Warriors at 18-3 at home, which makes Golden State the heavy favorite going into tonight’s game.

The NBA returns to ESPN tonight with a doubleheader featuring both conferences. The early game will tip-off at 7:30 PM ET when LaMelo Ball and the 24-20 Hornets travel to Boston to take on the 23-22 Celtics. The Hornets are currently the 7th seed in a crowded Eastern Conference but the 10th seed Celtics need to get a win to move up in the standings.

The 22-20 Nuggets will welcome the 22-23 Clippers to the Mile High City. This will be the third game between the pair this season, and the teams split their first two contests 1-1. At 22 wins each, tonight’s game could be the difference-maker in future tiebreaking scenarios.

Phoenix Suns 109 at Dallas Mavericks 1017:30 PMTNT
Indiana Pacers 121 at Golden State Warriors 11710:00 PMTNT, NBC Sports Bay Area

TNT returns with a doubleheader featuring the two top teams in the Western Conference. The best team in the west, the 34-9 Suns, travel to Dallas to take on the 26-19 Mavericks in the early game. Both teams have won 4 of their last 5, but the Suns have won both head-to-head matchups this season.

In the late game, the 32-12 Warriors look to continue their campaign to overtake the Suns as the top team in the Western Conference as they host the 16-29 Pacers. The Warriors won the first matchup 102-100 in Indiana. The Pacers have been awful on the road this season, going 4-17, but they’re coming off of a shocking road win against the Lakers. The Warriors have only won 2 of their last 5, so Indiana may be able to capitalize on the slumping team.

The Bulls are the top team in the Eastern Conference but they’re injury-riddled and will be without Lonzo Ball and Zach Levine for the foreseeable future. They’ve lost 4 of their last 5 and will need their reserves to step up against a Bucks team that is 15-8 at home for the season.
