Week 17 of the NBA regular season tips off with a loaded lineup featuring 10 nationally televised games. This week is the penultimate week before the league’s All-Star break with the trade deadline on Thursday, February 10, expect teams to make major moves to solidify their rosters before the postseason.

LeBron James, Nikola Jokic, Kevin Durant, Splash brothers Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, and Giannis Antetokounmpo are just some of the superstars expected to take the floor in this week’s national contests.

NBA TV will be home to a possible NBA Finals preview when the top team in the NBA and the reigning Western Conference champions 42-10 Phoenix Suns travel to the Windy City to take on the Eastern Conference’s second-place team the 33-20 Chicago Bulls. The Bulls have lost 2 of their last 5 and are coming off a tough loss against the Sixers where All-Star Demar Derozen scored 45 points. They’ll need a similar performance to upset a hot Suns team, who have won 12 of their last 13.

The NBA returns to TNT with a doubleheader featuring four of the league’s premier teams. In the early game, an Eastern Conference matchup between the 30-25 Celtics and 29-24 Nets will be a  pivotal matchup in the Atlantic Division. The Celtics are proving that they’re more than lucky as they look to continue their 5-game win streak against a Nets team that has lost 8 straight.

In the late game, the reigning and defending NBA champions Bucks (34-21) look to extend their winning streak to 4-games as they reveal to Crypto.com Arena to take on 2020 NBA champions Lakers (26-28). The Lakers are in dire need of wins heading into the All-Star break and LeBron James will have to roll back to the clock if they want to defend homecourt against Giannis Antetokounmpo and a surging Bucks team.

Big Baller Brand is in the building in game 1 of ESPN’s doubleheader. LaMelo Ball and the 28-27 Charlotte Hornets host Lonzo Ball and the 33-21 Chicago Bulls. The Hornets are on a 4-game home losing streak and tempers are starting to boil for the young team. LaMelo was named as an All-Star replacement and a win against his big brother Lonzo’s Bulls could help Charlotte turn their season around.

Steph Curry and the 41-13 Warriors travel to Salt Lake City to take on the 33-21 Jazz. The Jazz are on a 3-game winning streak thanks to the return of Donovan Mitchell. They’ll be without Rudy Gobert for tonight’s game and it will take a team effort to slow down Curry and the second-best team in the NBA.

TNT will be home of tonight’s doubleheader with a 2021 NBA Finals rematch between the 35-21 Bucks and the 44-10 Suns in the desert spotlighted in the late game. The Bucks are coming off a 44 point performance from reigning Finals MVP Antetokounmpo, while the Suns are the top team in all of the NBA. Both teams are hot right now, as the Bucks are on a 4-game win streak and the Suns have won 4 of their last 5. The Suns will be looking to avenge their 2021 Finals loss tonight.
