How to Watch the NCAA National Championship on April 5

After a regular season that was like no other and a history-making tournament, March Madness is down to the final two teams. History will be made at tonight’s NCAA National Championship game between (1) Gonzaga Bulldogs and (1) Baylor Bears. Both teams are in search of their first men’s hoops title after losing their only title game appearances; ‘Zaga was defeated in 2017, and Baylor last appeared in 1948. This is also the first time since 2005 that the two top-ranked teams heading into the tournament are facing off in the championship game.

The 31-0 Gonzaga Bulldogs are trying to become the first team to go undefeated since the 1976 Indiana Hoosiers. Behind freshman Jalen Suggs, the Bulldogs escaped a would-be upset against UCLA in the Final Four after he hit the game-winning shot. The Bulldogs will have to return to form tonight against a tough Baylor team.

At 27-2, the Baylor Bears are coming off a 78-59 victory over the University of Houston in the Final Four. The Bears are going into tonight’s game as slight underdogs, but they are a battle-tested team. All hands will be on deck tonight to stop a tough Gonzaga tonight.

There will be a limited number of fans at tonight’s game in Lucas Oil Stadium; however, cord cutters can find out how to watch all of tonight’s national championship game below.

Prediction: The Bears spoil Gonzaga’s season.

Early this season, Gonzaga and Baylor were ranked 1 and 2, respectively, and were going to face off on December 5, 2020; however, the game was canceled due to COVID protocols. Tonight’s game is four months in the making as the anticipation has peaked. When this game was originally scheduled, Gonzaga were slight favorites, they’re bigger favorites now, but Baylor has been playing better basketball throughout the tournament.

Baylor has won every game in the tournament by 9 points or more, with only one contest being under double-digits. Gonzaga is coming off a 3-point overtime win over UCLA, before that, they had won every tournament game by 16- points or more. With UCLA pressing Gonzaga, it shows that they aren’t as unstoppable as many think that they are, which is why Baylor will pull off a close +5-point win.
