Love Garfield and Charlie Brown? Do you have Hulu? You are in luck! Hulu has all of the classic Garfield specials, including the digitally remastered version of A Garfield Christmas.
They even have many of the classic Charlie Brown specials like A Boy Named Charlie Brown (1969) and Snoopy Come Home (1972).
This is just one more of Hulu’s major pushes for content that is not on Netflix.
This year has been a big year for Hulu with the addition of networks like Discovery and FX and more content from places like ABC; so, it is safe to say Hulu has been taking a big bite out of Netflix. They even took Epix’s catalog away from Netflix recently making Hulu a better place to see current movies like Interstellar, The Hunger Games, and Ninja Turtles.
In 2015 Hulu announced new commercial-free options along with their subsidized limited-commercial plans.
It is likely we have only seen the beginning of what Hulu has planned. With new leadership at Hulu, they seem to be aggressively making the right moves to become a must-have streaming service for cord cutters.
The one area Hulu has been lacking is a big hit original series. Unlike Netflix and Amazon, Hulu’s originals have yet to really catch on. It will be interested to see if Hulu has a breakout original series in 2016.
