Hate the bright white background on Hulu? We have good news starting today Hulu will be rolling out a night mode (aka a dark mode) that will change the background on Hulu’s website to a dark grey. Hulu is joining other services like YouTube, Reddit, Twitter, Wikipedia, and more in rolling out a darker background.

For now, this feature is for Hulu’s website. According to Tech Crunch Hulu has not said if they would be rolling it out to other devices but Hulu traditionally rolls out new features on the web first and devices later. Hopefully, they do the same with this new dark mode by adding it to their apps on a wide range of devices.

Recently it was announced a new team was taking over the Hulu app and now we are starting to see the changes they are making.

Hulu recently rolled out several new features to Hulu.com including:

(For Sports Fans) Multiple Games on Multiple Windows: If you’re invested in multiple games that are airing at the same time, you don’t have to miss a moment of the action— you can watch on multiple windows in your browser, depending on your live TV subscription.

Chromecast Casting for Web: When your computer is on the same network as your Chromecast device, a cast icon will appear in the player and allow you to seamlessly cast the programming you’re tuned into on the Web straight to your TV screen.

Picture-in-Picture: With this feature, you can continue watching your favorite programming while you browse the rest of the UI. Just click the “minimize” button in the bottom right corner of the player to activate picture-in-picture viewing. From there, you’ll be able to move the small player anywhere on your screen while you multitask.
