Today Cord Cutters News has learned that Hulu is testing a brand new user interface for Roku Streaming Players & Roku TVs. This new updated user interface replaces the vertical scrolling with horizontal rows of shows and movies similar to other streaming apps.
Hulu has confirmed they are testing a new user interface on select Roku users. So you may have the new guide or you may still have the old Hulu user interface. In recent months Hulu has been testing out a variety of user interfaces on random users to get feedback about the new ways it can improve its user experience. The question now is after testing, will Hulu stay with the vertical scrolling menus or switch over to a more traditional horizontal scrolling menu system.
Hulu says testing of the new user interface will be happening over the next few months. So don’t be surprised if one day your Hulu app has a new look. Also, this new user interface is not limited to Roku players and Roku TVs. It is very possible it will be showing up on other devices soon.
