Hulu Now Offers All Four Major Locals in Nearly 50% Of United States

Today Hulu announced that they have topped 521 locals including ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC on their live TV streaming service. With these new affiliates, Hulu now offers ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC in nearly 50% of all US TV households. This gives Hulu a solid lead over their competitors including DIRECTV NOW, YouTube TV, PlayStation Vue, etc when looking at a number of locals.

Hulu went on to say that they will be adding additional affiliates in the “next few weeks.” This will continue to help Hulu keep their lead in locals over their competitors.

This all comes a few days after we learned that  Hulu’s live TV streaming service now has 450,000+ live TV subscribers according to CNBC. Earlier this month Hulu also announced they have topped 17 million total subscribers their on-demand service.

Hulu also recently announced a partnership with NBC to cover the Winter Olympics. With this partnership, Hulu subscribers will have full access to NBC’s coverage of the Winter Olympics both live and on demand. Not only will you get access to the events but for some smaller sports the on-demand version will appear before it airs on a cable network.

To top it all off Hulu will also allow you to customize your 2018 Winter Olympics. You will now be able to pick just the events you want to watch and skip the rest. You will even find categories for additional behind-the-scenes coverage of the 2018 Winter Olympics.

Not a bad deal. I may have to give it a try again. I’m been looking for an all in one, that actually works good, with A&E and locals, with cloud DVR. PS Vue has my go to, but hey… great think about all these new streaming services. You can switch up anytime without having to deal with non-sense.

not in my area. And to top it of the CBS they offer is SD sub channel instead of the proper HD one every other service offers. Vue offers all but ABC and they also have MyTV to boot.

They added 3 of the 4 main local stations in my area in only a span of 3 months. I have been really impressed with how quickly they are moving.

When they get the Discovery Networks I’ll try ’em again. That and BBCA are the ones I’d miss.

Now if only those channels streamed without buffering. I’m so close to returning to cable. Hulu Live has been a major disappointment for me.

VUE is still the best I have had. Everyone else I have subscribed too is expensive at least for the TV options/programs I want

It is funny… Nothing on the site about Hulu having loading error problems whatsoever. Apparently, it is a big for when you try to call customer service, it disconnects and the website is down too.
