Hulu recently announced that they’ll be raising the price of their Hulu + Live TV subscription by $10/month. However, Disney’s Direct-to-Consumer Chairman Kevin Mayer said that Hulu’s ad-free and limited ad plans will not be going up in price.
How much are Hulu’s different plans?
With the upcoming price increase, Hulu + Live TV will cost $54.99/month. That price includes live TV streaming along with Hulu’s on-demand content library. To watch Hulu + Live TV without ads, the price will be $60.99/month.

What’s the difference between Hulu and Hulu + Live TV?
The difference between Hulu vs Hulu + Live TV is the content you’ll have access to. Hulu + Live TV allows you to watch over 60 channels live as they air, along with on-demand content. The basic Hulu plans give you access only to Hulu’s on-demand library, with many new episodes appearing in the library the day after they air.
Hulu + Live TV customers will also find additional on demand content. Upgrading to Hulu + Live TV will give you access to more past seasons with all episodes available in the on-demand library. This dramatically expands the amount of on-demand content Hulu offers.
With Hulu + Live TV , you’ll also have the ability to record content on the Cloud DVR to watch later. This feature is, of course, not available on the basic Hulu packages where all of the content is on-demand.

Is Hulu + Live TV worth it?
If you’re looking for a live tv service, then yes Hulu + Live TV is a great option. Hulu even suggests choosing the Live TV option for the months that make sense for your viewing habits, then switching plans when you don’t need to watch live. So keep in mind, if you’re a current Hulu + Live TV subscriber or thinking about signing up for this plan, you don’t necessarily have to pay for the most expensive Hulu subscription all year.
