Hulu Teams Up With Dreamworks

Today at Hulu Upfront it was announced that Hulu has teamed up with Dreamworks Animation movies. This multi-year deal with the studio will start in 2019 and will give Hulu exclusive rights to Dreamworks movies like How to Train Your Dragon and Trolls on the platform, Boss Baby 2 plus classics such as Shrek and Shark Tale.

It was also announced that Hulu and Dreamworks will be working together to create Hulu Originals s from Dreamworks movies.

This all comes as DreamWorks announced a deal with Netflix last week.  Following Comcast-NBCUniversal’s acquisition of DreamWorks animation studio, the relationship with Netflix has been expanded to include a first look at DreamWorks Animation animated series based on Universal film properties, like the multi-billion dollar Fast & Furious franchise.

Well, it looks like Netflix will get the new Fast & Furious franchise all other Dreamworks content will be moving to Hulu next year.
