Hulu is giving us a look back on the past year, and the results show that Original content is more popular than ever. The streaming service hit records with its Originals this year, with Nine Perfect Strangers becoming Hulu’s most-watched original series ever.

Other originals to make a splash include Only Murders in the Building which is now Hulu’s most watched comedy series, The D’Amelio Show as the most-watched unscripted series, Framing Britney Spears, and The Handmaid’s Tale S3 Ep4 the most-watched episode of any original this year.

The yearly wrap up also shows us that grown ups are still very into cartoons. In fact, adult animation was the top genre on the streaming service for 2021 based on hours watched. Hulu offers plenty of cartoons for grown ups, with staples like Rick and Morty, Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers, and Futurama, just to name a few.

Other key findings:

  • The most-streamed day was Sunday, Jan. 31, partly fueled by John Krasinki hosting Saturday Night Live and the Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour.
  • Shrek (celebrating its 20th anniversary in April), The Croods: A New Age, Sonic the Hedghog, Trolls World Tour, and Vacation Friends were some of the top movies on the streaming service
  • Super Bowl LV was the top live-streamed sports event
  • The most popular shows used with the Hulu Watch Party feature include Attack on Titan, Love Island, My Hero Academia, The Bachelor, and The Handmaid’s Tale
