Yesterday Apple announced that iTunes on Mac will be going away and replaced by 3 new apps Music, Podcasts, and TV. Now Apple has confirmed that iTunes on Windows will remain unchanged. This means you will still be able to sync your iPod or iPhone through iTunes on Windows. You will also be able to buy movies and TV shows right through iTunes on Windows PCs and laptops.

In a press release, Apple shared that users will still have access to their entire music library in the Apple Music App on Mac. The iTunes Music Store will still be active for those who want to purchase their music. This change will only be for Mac owners.

4K HDR playback with HDR 10 and Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos is being added to MacOS. Apple promises that you’ll have great sound, right from your Mac’s speakers. No word on if 4K HDR and HDR 10 will be coming to windows through iTunes.

For syncing iPhones or iPads you will be able to do it directly inside the MacOS in the sidebar under Finder.
