Kodi first got its start as the XBMC (Xbox Media Center) now they are once again returning to the place they started. Recently one of the few devices that Kodi did not support was the Xbox One now though Kodi has announced an “18.0 Alpha1” version for the Xbox One.

Kodi for the Xbox One looks a lot like Kodi on Windows 10. Sadly though you won’t be able to access your Blu-ray player or attached storage through the USB 3.0. The Kodi Team did say in their blog post that “I’m sure there’s more that might not work as intended yet as there are so many features it just will take a while to go over them. We cannot promise to what extend we can get every feature working as it all depends on what is available to us developers.”

“In short, we were aware from the beginning there would be limitations when the work started however that never kept us from realizing that dream of becoming once again available on the device that started it all. It almost feels like being reborn again. With this announcement and all the other work being done for the upcoming V18 release, the year 2018 is going to be amazing.” said Martijn Kaijser a Kodi Team member in a blog post on their site.

There you go you can now use Kodi to access your content on the Xbox One once again bringing Kodi back to the Xbox.
