Amazon Fire TV has released a new software update to improve the navigation experience, making it easier for users to find the content they want faster and offering a more streamlined look to the home screen.
Here’s what Amazon says is new with the update:
- Search is easier to find. We’ve integrated Search and Find to create a single destination where users can search and discover new content from Fire TV’s extensive catalog. By clicking on the magnifying glass on the main navigation panel, users will be taken to a page where they can search for shows, movies, and more, as well as browse popular and recommended categories.
- Get to the content you want faster:
- My Stuff (previously called Library) houses watch lists and video libraries, shows recently launched apps, and collects rented or purchased content in one place.
- Simple navigation. With this update, users will now see an icon-based navigation bar, offering quick access to popular destinations including Home, Find, Live, and My Stuff, as well as an easy way to get to their favorite apps and profile.
“Last year, we completed a major overhaul of the Fire TV experience and since then we have continued to make refinements to make Fire TV the most engaging and personalized streaming experience,” said Joshua Danovitz, Director, Fire TV Experience. “The recent updates bring Search and My Stuff to the top of our Home page so customers can quickly find content and access their watchlists, rentals, and purchases.”
