Recently PlayStation Vue hinted that they planned to add a lot more locals and it seems that it may be about to add more CBS affiliates. Over the weekend PlayStation Vue’s website in several areas that currently do not have CBS started to show CBS as one of the locals that will be available if you sign up.
Well, these areas still do not have access to CBS it seems likely that Sony may have mistakenly added them to the site early. This could be a glitch, but Sony has a history of accidentally listing locals in markets before the go live and this may once again be an example of that. Not only does Sony have a history of this but they recently released this statement “The transition to standard pricing for all markets was always part of our roadmap since we launched PlayStation Vue nationwide and began rolling out local broadcast affiliates in markets with Slim plans.” This has led some believe that PlayStation Vue will be adding more locals.
Currently, PlayStation Vue has more CBS affiliates than any other streaming service. With over 70% of Americans able to get their local CBS affiliate on PlayStation Vue. Currently, only Hulu, fuboTV, and YouTube TV are the only other major services with CBS.
