Chip and Joanna Gaines have announced that their new Magnolia Network will make its virtual debut on July 15, before the channel has a linear launch.

The network launch saw a delay due to the pandemic, which was originally set for October 2020. “Right now, it’s important that we all continue to look out for one another by upholding the guidelines set forth by the experts, leaders and front-line heroes working tirelessly to get us all through this difficult time,” Chip and Joanna Gaines said at the time.

With the digital launch, more Magnolia content will make its way to the Discovery+ lineup. Beginning on July 15, an expanded slate of Magnolia originals will be available to stream on the platform. Additionally, the Gaines’ will launch the Magnolia app which will include original series and over 150 hours of unscripted content about home, food, gardening, design, entrepreneurship and the arts.

Original content will include first seasons of Fixer Upper: Welcome Home and Magnolia Table with Joanna Gaines, plus new series Growing Floret, The Lost Kitchen, Homegrown, Family Dinner and Restoration Road with Clint Harp, along with the complete Fixer Upper library.

In January 2022, the DIY Network will rebrand to become Magnolia Network. The channel will include Magnolia original programming, as well as all of the Fixer Upper seasons, new seasons of DIY Network shows, and more content from DIY series.

“From the beginning, our aim for Magnolia Network has been to tell good stories. Stories that bring us together, that inspire and encourage us all to try something new. Stories that are told in ways that feel authentic,” said Chip and Joanna Gaines. “Our plan has evolved along the way, but our original vision for this network has remained the same. And it is our ongoing desire to create a space, whether in a streaming environment, or on linear television, where people who watch a show on our network leave feeling like it was time well spent. To that end, prior to next year’s linear launch, we are thrilled to continue our partnership with discovery+ as we launch Magnolia, a fully immersive digital brand experience.”
