Today T-Mobile announced that they are rebranding their Metro PCS brand to Metro by T-Mobile. With this deal, T-Mobile announced that Metro by T-Mobile will include free Amazon Prime and a subscription to Google One cloud storage and mobile backup.
“The number of Metro customers has doubled in the past five years for a reason… it is hands-down the best value and best experience in the prepaid category,” said Legere. “But that’s not enough for us! It drives me crazy that literally millions of hard-working people are struggling to get by yet feel stuck with AT&T and Verizon because they think prepaid wireless is subpar. That’s outdated thinking! Metro by T-Mobile customers aren’t making a compromise, they’re REFUSING to make a compromise.”
“Since the inception of Metro 16 years ago, we have always served the underserved. That hasn’t changed over the years, but the quality of our service sure has. And now, with Metro by T-Mobile, we’re starting a new phase to bring better value to more people than ever before,” said Tom Keys, President, Metro by T-Mobile. “Quality wireless service doesn’t have to cost a (blue) arm or a (red) leg. And we’re just getting started — this is just the first step in this Metro by T-Mobile journey. Stay tuned!”
Metro by T-Mobile starts at $30 a month for 2 GB of LTD data with taxes and fees included. It goes up to $60 a month with unlimited LTE data and 15 GB of LTE hotspot and at the $60 a month price includes Amazon Prime. As you would expect this service still runs on the T-Mobile network.
