Tonight, Saturday, August 15, UFC 252: Miocic vs Cormier III will stream exclusively on ESPN+ PPV. Miocic and Cormier will compete to find out who is arguably the greatest UFC heavyweight in history.

The two have a history that will come into play tonight. Cormier took the belt from Miocic during UFC 226 in July 2018. Miocic took the belt back in UFCC 241 in August 2019. Neither has been in the Octagon since then. “We have unfinished business,” Miocic said.

“They’re two of the best ever,” said UFC President Dana White. “Saturday you find out who’s the best heavyweight of all time. It doesn’t get any better than this.”

37 year old Miocic is a two time champion who held the title of UFC heavyweight champion for over two years, defending his title three times until the match with Cormier in 2018. “I’ve worked too hard to give it up,” Miocic said ahead of tonight’s fight.

41 year old Cormier is the slight favorite for tonight’s fight. UFC 252 holds a lot of weight for Cormier who could make this his last fight. “It would put me in that type of sphere with some of the greatest athletes that have ever competed across any sport,” Cormier said. “When I win on Saturday, I will retire in that way.”
