Peacock and MLB announced today that MLB Sunday Leadoff will be the name of their Peacock exclusive Sunday morning Major League Baseball package. As part of the package, Peacock will be the home of 18 MLB Sunday morning games, which will make it the exclusive home of MLB action until 1:30 PM ET that day, when the remainder of the day’s schedule will begin.
For 18 consecutive weeks, subscribers to Peacock Premium can stream live MLB games produced by NBC Sports, with the first 6 games starting at 11:30 AM ET, and the remaining games starting at noon. Each game will have a pregame and post-game show on Peacock.
The MLB-Peacock deal was reported to be worth $30 million annually, and the first game under the MLB Sunday Leadoff banner will be live from Fenway Park as the Chicago White Sox visit the Boston Red Sox at 11:30 AM ET on Sunday, May 8. The game will be available on Peacock and on the NBC broadcast network, while the remaining 17 games will be exclusively on Peacock.
Not only will Peacock be home to 18 MLB games, but the streamer will be the exclusive home to the SiriusXM All-Star Future Game, which features the top minor league prospect during All-Star Week in July.
