Today NBC announced that they will be expanding their free NBC News Now service from 8 hours a day to 24 hours a day live news coverage starting in 2020. NBC said this shift to 24/7 live free news would happen in the first half of 2020.

NBC News Now currently offers 8 hours of free live news every day from 3 PM to 11 PM Eastern. You are able to watch NBC News Now from the NBC News website and the NBC News App on devices like Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, iOS, and Android.

NBC has 20 dedicated staff working on the new NBC News Now service with Erica Fink as executive producer and Christine Cataldi as contributing executive producer for NBC News. NBC says they want the service to target the “news junkies” who want to feel up to date.
