Since 1949, NBC Sports has been the home of thoroughbred horse racing in some shape or form. The tradition will continue In 2022 with the 148th Kentucky Derby on Saturday, May 7, which is shaping up to be a historic event, as this will be the first time Peacock will live stream NBC’s Triple Crown horse race coverage. This spring, NBC Sports will present more than 20 hours of Triple Crown coverage across NBC, USA Networks, CNBC, and Peacock, beginning with five hours of Kentucky Derby coverage.
On Saturday, May 21, two weeks after the Kentucky Derby, NBC Sports coverage of the 147th Preakness Stakes will simul-stream live on Peacock, which will be followed by the simul-stream of the 154th Belmont Stakes on Saturday, June 11.
