Netflix has slowly been building a growing catalog of stand-up comedy specials. Now Netflix and SiriusXM have teamed up to broadcast the audio of this Netflix Original standup performances.
“The new channel will include material from the Netflix stand-up catalog, which features the biggest names in comedy. SiriusXM will also broadcast comedy talk shows from Netflix plus additional original programming.” SiriusXM said in a statement on their site. “This partnership marks the first time Netflix, the home for A-list stand-up specials and high-profile comedic talk talent, will bring its content to an audio service.”
These Netflix Original performances including comedians Trevor Noah, Ricky Gervais, Ali Wong, Kevin Hart, Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, and many more. SiriusXM also announced that additional original programming will also stream on this new channel.
SiriusXM has not set a release date or channel number at this time. It is also unknown if this will be a permanent channel or one of SiriusXM’s short-term channel for a limited run. For now, we will have to wait for more details to be announced later this year.
