Netflix’s young adult drama Ginny & Georgia is getting the green light for a second season. The original series has been a top performer for Netflix this spring, watched by 52 million households and consistently landing on Nielsen’s top 10 streaming charts. Like the first installment, Season 2 will be comprised of 10 hour-long episodes.
If you haven’t watched Season 1, you still have plenty of time to catch up as a release date for the new season hasn’t been announced yet. The show follows mom and daughter duo Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and Georgia (Brianne Howey) as they transition from being always on the run to an idyllic suburban lifestyle, but not without bringing along plenty of baggage. The series has a modern Gilmore Girls meets murder mystery vibe that’s easy to get hooked on.
“We are so appreciative of the incredible response and love you all have shown Ginny & Georgia. We’re especially grateful to Brianne and Toni, who set the highest bar every step of the way. We can’t wait to return to Wellsbury for season two,” said producers Debra J. Fisher and Sarah Lampert.
