Netflix’s Squid Game joined the exclusive club of titles that received more than 3 billion minutes of viewing time in a single week, according to Netflix’s most recent rankings. The Korean Thriller is one of just 6 total titles to reach that level of viewing, joining You from January 2020, Tiger King and Ozark during the first weeks of the pandemic, The Umbrella Academy, and most recently The Crown nearly a year ago in November. Note that all of the titles to break 3 billion have been on Netflix. It’s also worth noting these numbers reflect the English language version of Squid Game.

The entire top five most-viewed originals for the week belonged to Netflix, with Midnight Mass passing the 1 billion minute mark, followed by Lucifer, The Great British Baking Show, and Sex Education. Apple TV+ made an appearance on the list as well with its popular original feel-good series Ted Lasso ranking No. 6. Amazon Prime Video and Hulu also made the cut, making it the first time five different distributors were represented on the Originals list.

Parents undoubtedly had nursery songs stuck in their head this week as CoComelon took the top spot in terms of Acquired titles. The preschool-age series had 635 million minutes across its 12 episodes on Netflix. NCIS and Criminal Minds made appearances, as did Gilmore Girls and Downton Abbey.

Netflix’s Jake Gyllenhaal thriller The Guilty was the top movie for the week, followed by My Little Pony: A New Generation and The Starling starring Melissa McCarthy. Britney Vs Spears also ranked within the top five after news of the pop star’s father stepping down from his conservatorship. Seasonal movies also started to pop up this week, with Hocus Pocus, Intrusion, and No One Gets Out Alive ranking in the top ten.

Overall, Netflix accounted for all ten of the top-viewed titles for the week, with Squid Game and Midnight Mass obviously leading the charge.
