New Details on PlayStation Vue’s Sports Add-on (Sorry it Won’t Include out of Market Live Games)

Three happy young men watching football game and keeping arms raised while sitting on sofaToday Sony announced a new sports add-on for $10 a month that included national feeds of all CSN and NBC Sports stations. Yet there is a huge catch you won’t get any of the sports games outside of their markets.

Today in reply to comments left on the Original Sony Post Mary Taing an employee at Sony said:

Hi, the Sports Pack Add-on features multiple channels with live games. However, for the national feeds of the regional sports networks, you’ll get the sports programming available, but it does not include live games.

Now to good news if you get the RSN networks in your current markets you won’t need to pay extra to keep them. In a comment left on a different comment Mary Taing said:

Thanks for the feedback. If you’re already subscribed through the Core plan and above, you’ll still keep the regional sports networks available in your area. The Sports Pack add-on will provide a national programming feed for the regional sports networks, in addition to the other sports channels available in the Sports Pack.

So in short if you currently get the channels in the new Sports Add-on won’t wont have to pay to keep them. Yet if you do get the sports add-on you will NOT get out of market games live. So you won’t be watching CSN for Chicago Bulls games if you live in Texas for example.
