NewsON The Free Live News Streaming Service From 179 Local TV Stations Launches on The Fire TV

Want to stream local news for free? NewsON offers live and on-demand local news from over 179 local TV is now streaming on the Fire TV. In the past, you need a Roku or a mobile device to use NewsON. Now there is a native app on the Fire TV. Not only is one of your local TV stations likely streaming on NewsON but you can also stream local news from around the United States.

“With our consistently strong growth in viewer engagement, NewsON has become a leading source of trusted live and on-demand local news for OTT consumers,” said Derek Van Nostran, Head of Marketing for NewsON. “We are excited to bring NewsON to a brand new audience on Amazon Fire TV.’”

NewsON is now available on iOS, Android, Roku, and Amazon Fire TV devices. No word yet on Apple TV or Android TV support but hopefully they continue to roll out support to more devices soon.
