Every wish you could get NFL RedZone without a subscription to a live TV streaming service? Now you can do just that with a new $4.99 a month NFL RedZone subscription service. Now through the NFL app on Android and iOS if you click on the NFL RedZone, you will get an option to sign in with a cable subscription or for $4.99 you can watch NFL RedZone on a mobile device without a cable subscription.
Now there are a few limitations this subscription option only works on mobile devices. As best we can tell both iOS and Android have blocked the ability to cast the NFL RedZone stream from your mobile device to your TV. For some that may be a deal breaker but if you just want to use NFL RedZone form the NFL Network as a second stream on a mobile as you watch your local games this is a really great deal.
Here is a screenshot of the deal:
The other catch is this will not work on tablets. According to the terms and conditions, it will only work through mobile phones that are capable of two-way communication through voice, text, and/or data. From that legal description, it looks like iPads and other tablets are out of luck. So if you want NFL RedZone on your TV, you will still need a service like Sling TV.
It also looks like this deal is only available through their mobile app. I was unable to find a way to signup through the NFL website. Did you find one? Leave a comment and let us know.
