In one more example of why you should be careful when buying a smart TV is Sony. This week it was announced that pre-Android TV Sony TVs will be losing Amazon Prime Video on September 25th, 2019.
The good news here is these are all older TVs and if your Sony TV runs Android TV you will continue to have access to the Amazon Prime Video app. If you have an older Sony Smart TV you may want to consider getting a cheap Roku Stick or Fire TV Stick to keep access the Amazon Prime Video app and access even more apps that you currently do not have on your old Sony TV.
