The Paramount Network Launches on Sling TV, DIRECTV NOW, & Philo

If you are a fan of Spike TV we have bad news for you. Yesterday was the last day Spike TV will air in the United States. Today January 18th 2018 Spike TV will be rebranded as the Paramount Network as part of Viacom’s move to update their brand and to take advantage of their ownership of Paramount.

“Today we launch Paramount Network, inspired by over a century of cinematic excellence and dedicated to bringing premium storytelling to every screen,” said the network. “Telling stories that entertain, inspire and challenge. Stories you feel.”

Paramount will continue many of the shows on Spike TV and add more scripted shows like Waco about the David Koresh’s Branch Davidian compound and the government siege back in 1993.

This means Sling TV, DIRECTV NOW, and Philo subscribers will soon see their Spike TV channel be rebranded as Paramount Network later tonight. There is nothing you need to do but just remember the guide may or may not update with the new logos overnight.

Other shows on the Paramount Network will include Heathers, American Woman, Yellowstone, Lip Sync Battle, Ink Master, Bar Rescue, Bellator MMA and more. You can find a full list of shows that will air on the Paramount Network on their website HERE.

“Paramount Network is a premium entertainment destination that pushes the limits of story-telling with bold original scripted and non-scripted series. Inspired by over a century of cinema, Paramount Network is where today’s brightest stars bring the experience of the big screen to every screen with stories that are immersive, inclusive, and deeply personal.” Viacom said on their website.
