NBC Owned Television Stations announced today that Peacock will now stream local news playlists. You can find the new additions on the News tab within the Peacock app. The local playlists include content from 12 NBC-owned stations.
The addition of the news playlists follows the launch of streaming only “digicasts” from NBC stations including WCAU in Philadelphia, WNBC in New York, and more NBC and Telemundo owned stations launching this year, and the launch of NBCLX – a local news streaming network geared toward those 18-25.
The NBC owned stations coming to Peacock include the following markets:
- New York
- Los Angeles
- Chicago
- Philadelphia
- Dallas-Fort Worth
- San Francisco Bay Area
- Boston
- Washington, DC
- Miami-Fort Lauderdale
- San Diego
- Connecticut
- Puerto Rico
