Good news for Philo subscribers the service today announced the addition of the Smithsonian Channel and POP to its lineup.

This all comes after last fall Philo renewed its carriage deal with Crown Media, ensuring Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Drama, and Hallmark Movies and Mysteries will remain on the Live TV service. This news comes just in time for Hallmark’s most important time of the year, the holiday movie season, which has proven to be a big driver in Philo’s subscriber numbers.

Pop TV included a large collection of TV shows and movies including House, ER, NCIS: New Orleans, and more. The Smithsonian channel includes a large collection of original programmings like The Pacific War in Color and Apollo’s Moon Shot.

At this time all of this content comes to subscribers without any price change to Philo’s $25 base package.
