PlayStation Vue Is Shutting Down This Month! Here Are Some Great Replacement Services

Sony recently announced that it will be shutting down PlayStation Vue on January 30, 2020. If you’ve been a PlayStation Vue subscriber and have yet to switch to a new service, you have about two weeks left. The good news is there are many great options out there.

Hulu

Like PlayStation Vue, Hulu with Live TV offers the sports, news, and entertainment content many cord cutters want. If you’re looking for ACC Network, Big Ten Network, ESPN, Discovery channels, MSNBC, Fox News, and more, give Hulu a try. Hulu costs $54.99 a month after a free trial, below the price point of PlayStation Vue’s least expensive plan.

YouTube TV

If you’re looking for a service that allows for multiple simultaneous streams, an excellent channel selection, and a similar channel lineup as PlayStation Vue, try YouTube TV, which allows you to create up to six profiles per account and stream up to three simultaneous streams. At $49.99 a month, the price point is the same as the PlayStation Access plan.

Sling TV

If you’re using PlayStation Vue to stay up to date with your favorite sports teams, you might want to try Sling TV, which has options for adding more sports channels with NBA League Pass and a Sports add on. Use Sling to watch NFL Network, NHL Network, NBA TV, and more. Sign up for Sling TV starting at $30 a month. Add on a sports package for an extra $5 or $10 a month.

FuboTV

Another sports-focused streaming service, FuboTV offers over 100 live channels, including local sports and news. Want to make sure you don’t miss a game? FuboTV includes 30 hours of Cloud DVR storage. With a price of $54.99 a month, FuboTV costs the same as the Core package from PlayStation Vue.

Philo

If sports aren’t your priority and you’re looking to save some money on your monthly subscription, try Philo. This streaming service has 59 live channels, including HGTV, Discovery, Nickelodeon, and Hallmark. You can try Philo without entering any credit card information. All you need is a mobile number to try the service for 48 hours. Philo costs $20 a month.

Vidgo

Vidgo is the newest live TV streaming service, and packages start at $39.99 a month. Vidgo offers access to many popular networks like ESPN and the NFL Network but on-demand and DVR features are listed as coming soon.
