PlayStation Vue Just Added CBS Sports Network & 1 Other Channel

Three happy young men watching football game and keeping arms raised while sitting on sofaToday Sony’s live TV streaming service PlayStation Vue streaming service has quietly added several new channels. The main channel being CBS Sports Network and NBC’s Universal Kids channel.

CBS has recently been rolling out CBS Sports to more providers. Hulu added it at launch followed by fuboTV recently and even DIRECTV NOW has announced plans to add CBS Sports.

It was not that long ago that CBS owned networks was rare to find on a streaming service. Now CBS Sports and other CBS channels are becoming a more common sight on services like PlayStation Vue.

As far as we can tell there has been no official statement from Sony about the new channels. CBS Sports is available as part of the Core package when we looked.

CBS Sports airs content from the Mountain West Conference, the Atlantic 10 Conference, Conference USA, the Patriot League, Army football and Navy football. They also have a long list of studio shows and other sports coverage.

NBC’s Universal Kids is a new channel that they describe as:

Universal Kids is an all-new viewing experience made for kids, by kids. We serve quality content that entertains, excites, and emboldens.

Though we have an all-new lineup of shows, TV isn’t the only way to join in on the fun – we’ve also got quizzes, apps, a quickly-growing YouTube channel and much more!

We will update this post as we learn more.

With a stronger multicultural socialist engineering feel to it though, imho.
      We don’t care for it.

Love that CBS Sports Network has been added. Great for college football season, even more so for college basketball season.

I seem to have gained Fox9+ and lost My29 in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.. unless they’re one in the same. Not sure, I haven’t watched that channel to know.

YoutubeTV and FuboTV also replaced the Sprout logo with the Universal Kids logo. Heads up, Spike is rebranding as Paramount next year.

I have the Core and got CBS Sports but not the NBC Kids/Universal. Anyone else seeing it?

It’s only on Elite and Ultra. It’s a rebranded version of Sprout.
