This week PlayStation Vue started to roll out an update to their Roku Channel. Sadly, Sony didn’t publish a full list of improvements, but it looks like the primary changes were under the hood and UI.

According to our readers, PlayStation Vue’s Roku app got a slight tune up and seems to be loading faster.

One of the big changes was to sports viewing. Now when clicking on a sports game already in action Roku owners are reporting getting a new menu pop-up asking which feed of the game you want to watch if there are multiple to pick from.

The other change seems to be for the DVR as channels now put DVR content up first requiring some extra clicks to get to the live channel, according to a post on Reddit.

Overall, the changes seem to be minor because the focus seems to be on improving the channel’s performance, something PlayStation Vue has needed to do on Roku for some time. Hopefully, Sony will continue to roll out updates in the weeks and months to come.
