2020 brought us several new streaming services and more free content. Redbox launched two new free services for live and on demand content. Fox brought more of its network content to Tubi. Crackle delivered original series. In the end, Pluto TV took the prize when Cord Cutters News readers voted it the best free streaming service of 2020.

Pluto TV took 45.4% of the votes and we weren’t surprised to see this service on top. ViacomCBS has been investing in new streaming channels, bringing content from across its portfolio of brands to the service at no cost, and continuously improving Pluto TV all year.

The Roku Channel came in second with 24.7% of the votes. The free streaming service from Roku launched in 2017 and now reaches US households with an estimated 43 million people. A new app for the channel has made it even easier to watch content for free anytime, anywhere.

Tubi TV, IMDb TV, and Crackle rounded out the top five free streaming services of 2020. Each has a library filled with movies, classic TV series, family friendly shows, hard to find titles, exclusive content, and much more.
