While we’ve been hearing about a slew of new paid streaming services lately, there are many free streaming services offering great content, new channels, and old favorites without an additional monthly subscription fee. Today, we’re looking at two of these services – Pluto TV and XUMO.
PlutoTV has a large collection of curated channels, offering sports, movies, news, and entertainment. Now owned by ViacomCBS, the free streaming service has even more content than ever, with new curated and branded channels popping up regularly.
Pluto TV has a grid guide that makes it easy to see what’s playing live for the 3.5 hours, along with on-demand content to watch any time. Recently, Pluto TV has added channels including a dedicated PGA Tour channel, Tosh.O, RT America, and more.

XUMO is a free streaming service with over 160 live channels and an on-demand library. Canadian cord cutters can also enjoy the free content from XUMO on Channel Plus.
XUMO has been consistently adding new channels, including Chive TV, a channel dedicated to K-Pop, NBC News Now, and GoTraveler all since the beginning of 2020.
