The imaginary stadium is modelled and rendered.Well, it looks like you may have a new option for NFL Thursday Night Football in 2018. According to a report from Sports Business Journal a source with a great track record, ABC is looking at returning to the NFL football with hopes of airing Thursday Night NFL games. This would be the first time since 2005 that ABC would air a prime-time NFL game. Since 2007 Monday Night Football has moved to their sister network ESPN ABC has been without a NFL football game.

ABC is going head to head with NBC and CBS for the rights to Thursday Night NFL football. According to reports the 2016 deal for two seasons of NFL Thursday Night football cost CBS and NBC $900 million. Amazon also recently paid $50 million for streaming rights to Thursday Night NFL games.

Even more interesting is speculation that Monday Night Football may return to broadcast TV on ABC or some other network. BTIG analyst Rich Greenfield said that subscriber losses could be pushing ESPN to drop Monday Night NFL games in an effort to cut cost. The question would be now is will ABC pick up the deal or will some other network jump at the opportunity when it comes up.
