So how big and successful is Roku? If you look at it as a cable TV company, it would be the 3rd largest provider in the United States. Larger than Spectrum with Roku falling just behind Comcast and AT&T. Look for Roku to someday top Comcast and AT&T according to as reported by Ophir Gottlieb

According to their recent quarterly report, the number of Roku accounts rose 47% as Comcast and AT&T remained falt. (Note that is not devices but new accounts that could represent multiple devices.) This would make Roku the 3rd largest cable TV company and the fastest growing cable TV company.

If you look at it as a TV company Roku is the #1 licensed TV operating system in the United States. In 2017 1 in 4 TVs sold in the United States was a Roku TV.

No matter what way you look at it Roku is continuing to dominate the United States streaming market. According to multiple reports over half of all streaming players sold in the United States is a Roku Player. Add in the fact that 1 in 4 TVs sold in the United States is a Roku TV and you can see why Roku had such a strong 2017.

Clearly, cord cutting is growing and the companies that embrace cord cutting like Roku are seeing the benefits of their investment.
