Rotten Tomatoes is a go-to source for many movie fans to check out ratings and reviews on movies both old and new. It’s Tomatometer assigns a score to films based on the opinions of hundreds of film and television critics, making it a trusted review site for movie watchers. But not everyone agrees with the ratings, and the site editors are ready to discuss differing opinions in a new podcast called, ‘Rotten Tomatoes Got it Wrong,’ with the first episode out today.

“Some fans love to tell us at Rotten Tomatoes that the Tomatometer score and critics got it wrong, and we hear them,” said Joel Meares, Editor-in-Chief of Rotten Tomatoes. “We love inviting passionate, friendly debate, while helping audiences find amazing content, and our new podcast ‘Rotten Tomatoes Is Wrong’ does both. Our goal is to give fans an entertaining, new way to discover beloved and not-so-beloved films and shows and join a lively and often hilarious discussion with some of the sharpest and funniest voices in the entertainment space.”

The podcast is hosted by Rotten Tomatoes Editor Jacqueline Coley and Contributing Editor and comedian Mark Ellis. Each episode will explore different films and what critics have said of them at the time of release, as well as current reviews on whether the films have aged well or not. In addition to critics views, the hosts will discuss audience opinions and the cultural forces that shaped certain films. The premiere episode dissects the 2005 thriller Constantine, starring Keanu Reeves.

“Rotten Tomatoes is Wrong” is available on various podcast platforms, including Spotify and Apple. New episodes will launch weekly on Thursdays at 6 A.M. ET.
