Sirius XM and Pandora have teamed up to create Pandora NOW, according to a press release from last week.
The goal of Pandora NOW is to combine the personalized listener experience of Pandora with the curated lists and reach of Sirius XM Radio. The new “exclusive listening experience” is for both Sirius XM customers and Pandora subscribers. As of April 4, is available as a curated channel (Channel 3) on Sirius and an interactive station on Pandora with the same song skipping and rating features available as other Pandora stations.
“We’re excited to combine, for the first time, the wealth of Pandora listener data with the proven curation expertise of our SiriusXM team to give our combined 100 million listeners a truly unique and unprecedented listening experience. Not only will Pandora NOW give listeners exclusive, up-to-the-moment access to the music people are streaming on Pandora the most, but it will
let music fans influence which songs are played.”
The music played on Pandora NOW will be determined by the fans. The station will play the most listened to and trending songs and artists on Pandora.
