Sling TV Adds ABC News Live to Sling Free

Sling TV has just announced that ABC News Live is now available on Sling Free to deliver the latest news from early voting states, Washington, D.C. and more as Election Day draws near.

All prospective, active and former Sling TV subscribers using a Roku, Amazon or Android streaming device or Chrome, Safari or Edge browsers will now gain free viewership to ABC News Live — no credit card or account needed. Current subscribers can enjoy coverage from ABC News Live on any Sling-supported device.

ABC News Live is a 24/7 streaming video news channel for breaking news and live events. Along with broadcasting the latest headlines, the channel also has original programming including The Debrief, The Briefing Room and It’s Morning, America.

The new free channel will have coverage of the Democratic debate this Friday, February 7 beginning at 8 p.m. EST.

  • Download the Sling TV app on a Roku, Amazon or Android device, or simply head to on Chrome, Safari or Edge browsers and follow the instructions on the welcome screen.
  • On the “My TV” screen in the Sling TV app, select ABC News Live in the “Free Live TV” ribbon or navigate to the ABC News Live channel in the guide.
  • Users can choose to upgrade to a monthly Sling TV subscription by clicking the banner at the top of their “My TV” screen or continue browsing and watching free content without an account.
