From a new traditional grid guide to new DVR and more device support, Sling TV has slowly been improving its service over the last few months.
Now Sling TV is adding a new channel. AFRO, a polycultural Black television network, was added today to Sling TV’s Lifestyle Extra package. AFRO provides live linear and on-demand television in addition to exclusive and original Afro-centric movies and series including late night shows (“The Samy Priso Show”), talk shows (“Journey”), fashion shows (“Style Check”), and comedies (“Viral Breakdown”).
AFRO joins BET, Cooking Channel, DIY Network, E!, FYI, Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, LMN, Oxygen, truTV, VH1, and WE tv in the Lifestyle Extra add-on.
The Lifestyle Extra package is $5 per month with a Sling Orange and/or Sling Blue subscription. Subscribers to Lifestyle Extra will automatically see AFRO appear in their guide starting today.
Sling TV seems to be slowly building up a diverse lineup of content without raising its price. Just a few days ago Sling TV announced the addition of the Cowboy Channel, bringing a collection of Western outdoor shows, sports, and lifestyle programming to subscribers.
