Sling TV at launch made a big push about their 72-hour replay feature. This feature allowed you to re-watch any episode you missed within 72 hours after its launch. Now with the launch of their new DVR, that feature has not received a lot of attention until today.
Today, Sling TV added the ability to replay any show on MTV, Spike, Comedy Central, and all other Viacom owned channels, 72 hours after they air. To access all replay content start by selecting one of the Viacom channels in your full or mini guide, then scroll down to your schedule bar. Locate the On Now content, then scroll left to see all previously aired episodes. Click on an episode to start your replay stream.
Update: Sling TV has confirmed that all Viacom channels now have this feature. They did not mention if they added any other networks.
You will still be able to DVR these shows if you want to keep them longer, but if you want to save DVR space you now have the option to watch them within 24 hours after they air.
The 72-hour replay feature was already available on select networks like HGTV, DIY, Travel Channel, Cooking Channel, Food Network, and more. Hopefully, this is the start of many new channels being added to Sling TV’s 72-hour replay feature.
