Sling TV Adds SHOWTIME to Their Lineup

Today Sling TV announced that they are adding SHOWTIME to their lineup. This marks the first time an over-the-top (OTT) service like Sling TV has the four leading premium networks. Sling TV is adding eight different SHOWTIME channels and is available today for $10 per month to new and existing Sling TV customers.

“We know our price and the ability to personalize your channel lineup are why consumers prefer Sling TV, so we’ll continue to offer more customizable options like this,” said Glenn Eisen, chief marketing officer of Sling TV. “SHOWTIME offers Sling TV customers additional high-quality live and on-demand content, including hit series like ‘Homeland’ and ‘Billions.’”

SHOWTIME offers commercial-free access to award-winning SHOWTIME original series, including “Homeland,” “Billions,” “Ray Donovan” and the highly-anticipated new limited event series of “Twin Peaks.” SHOWTIME subscribers can watch eight live TV channels or instantly choose from nearly 2,000 on-demand titles, with new titles added weekly. Additional original series, exclusive sporting events, documentaries, comedy specials and more from the following Showtime Networks will be included in the add-on: SHOWTIME, SHOWTIME 2, SHOWTIME® SHOWCASE, SHOWTIME EXTREME®, SHOWTIME BEYOND®, SHOWTIME NEXT®, SHOWTIME® WEST and SHOWTIME WOMEN®. I would be more stoked if they added DISCOVERY and its associated channels, things like Showtime and HBO don’t interest me, I can watch Dexter on Netflix whenever I want and nothing else from those networks interest me

Yup! That is really the last piece of the puzzle for Sling. I don’t mind that they have stuff split out in different packs, but at-least give us the option of the Discovery Networks.

Good for you! Showtime is more than Dexter, who knows how long it will stay on Netflix & nurse Jackie but those shows are old.

maybe so but I don’t care about anything on Showtime today, as far as movies go I’ve got enough with Netflix (as most my free time is spent on tv series) and the free HBO Go I get with DTVNow (not that I even really use that, i’ve watched 2 movies on it in the month i’ve had it), I gave up on Homeland after they killed off Damien Lewis’s character and have no interest in any current series from them, Discovery on the other hand I watch several hours a week of Discovery and can basically switch to Velocity and watch whatever is on there if I can’t find something else to watch. So those networks are far more valuable to people looking for Vue, DTVNow alternatives that have Viacom.

You’re far off topic. I don’t talk to my Eye doctor about my constipation. If I had constipation. If you don’t like Showtime, fine.
