Right now Sling TV is down not letting anyone login or even signup for a new account. If you are already streaming, be careful about exiting Sling TV because you may not be able to log in again. This is the first significant Sling TV outage in some time as Sling TV has developed a reputation for reliability over the last year.

Update: Sling TV is back online.

Update #2: Sling TV sent Cord Cutters News the following statement “An outside vendor experienced significant connectivity issues this morning, which affected multiple companies, including Sling. The vendor is working on the issue and Sling customers are now able to stream as normal when they restart the app.”

Sling TV posted this statement on Twitter in response to complaints about the outage: “The engineers are working to get the site up and running as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience. -BR”

According to Downdectector, the outage has been going on for almost an hour now.

The good news is if you are trying to watch college football on ESPN you can use the ESPN app with your Sling TV login right now.

Cord Cutters News has reached out to Sling for comment and will update this story as we learn more.
